The only questions are:

1. Does it backfire and actually create higher Democratic turnout?

2. If it succeeds, and Republicans narrowly hold the House and Senate through arrests, intimidation and administrative chaos, then what are Democrats prepared to do?

Fulton County is just one example. There are a million ways to throw wrenches into voting nationwide. Or to suppress votes. *All without actually canceling an election.* That's the threat and it's real.

This government clearly don't really understand the complexity or the danger of the situation. They show no sign of beginning to understand, and every sign of asking the monorail salesman how public transport should work. It's going to be an uphill struggle, but don't leave this to politicians.

Do not get it twisted. The REAL change we are seeing right now, and which we need to sustain, is the revealing of how much we have the power to care & provide for each other in ways the state has continually abdicated its supposed responsibility to do in order to consolidate power.

this all goes back to my central take on MAGA which is that they believe that only the Internet is real - a belief that can carry you terrifyingly far in 2026, but always comes up against the remorseless ol' bitch that is reality eventually:
