MAN FINDS TAPE is solid. Mildly creepy, consistently engaging. The faux doc format works well. John Gholson is great as an intense preacher. He’s my friend so I can’t be completely objective, but seriously.

I felt not-great on Thursday so I stayed home to be safe. Haven’t felt the best since, but testing negative daily. Just assuming I have it and staying home since everyone I know is positive. I got the booster 2 weeks prior so maybe that’s helping. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SHELBY OAKS. The first great horror film to come from someone who grew up on 2000s horror and has reinterpreted it for the 2020s. A great, scary, nightmare fuel filled terror treat. I saw grown ass horror filmmakers jump in this one. One of my very favorites of the fest.

Fantastic Fest used to have a bumper competition (themed shorts that played before the films). The final edition was in 2019, and @peterhallhuman.bsky.social and I won with NO SIGNAL. That was the first time we co-wrote/co-directed. The second time was MAN FINDS TAPE! vimeo.com/363068358
