IPP sentences are indeterminate - potentially indefinite; technically abolished in 2012 but thousands of people remain subject to them, with no end in sight. It's quite barbaric.
The justice secretary has no good choices – but releasing IPP prisoners should be one. It would end the short term prison crisis & one of the most monumental & cruel injustices of the past half century

4 countries (Israel, Poland, Ukraine + Albania) do much better with Eurovision public than jury votes. Diaspora Poles/Albanians can vote from abroad, while people can't vote for own country at home. Israeli Embassies campaigned for 20 votes from viewers & others as solidarity. Ukraine empathy

There was an old tweet that stuck with me: "If you can easily walk to the coffee shop but your barista has a one hour commute, you don't live in a walkable 15 minute city; you live in a theme park"
as someone who lives nextdoor to both supportive housing and public housing, i need people to understand that the best locations for both are going to be the central neighborhoods in a metropolitan area, where there is easy and reliable access to services and jobs.
