Vintage computing, programming and games. Talks a lot about mental health and football as well.
I found the past week or two of news absolutely exhausting to follow; we're certainly heading down the Trumpian plughole. I'd always had the instinct you weren't a Tory (glad I was right). That can't be easy in the car world, where the word of Clarkson is often highly influential to many.

That's how I chose to do it for the same reason. This country wants us to validate ourselves at every turn now...

Sounds like it's this country again.

The more I run out of space at home, the more I expect to eventually turn to FPGA.

Agree, and the "untalented hack" got over with it. Some lessons there for AEW, as their potential stars aren't staying anywhere near as over in the same way.

I was indeed a Packard Bell victim! In around 1999/2000, £1k bought us 600mhz of processing power. Can't remember the RAM - probably 64MB. All from PC World, of course. Great for Championship Manager and the web. I was still using it in the mid 2010s, running Puppy Linux, until it cried enough.

Ofsted is a bureaucratic relic incapable of evolving.

They promised an end to snap judgements, only to bring back the model months later. And that is complete with colour-coding designed to humiliate certain schools further.

This is not reform; it's doubling down on their hated rating system.

There are going to be five snap judgements instead of the previous four. All nicely colour-coded, with a garish red to humiliate schools with the lowest rating even more.

Oh wait, that's not a positive, is it? #EduSky

Up next: Thousands more parents choosing to homeschool their children. Thousands more teachers leaving the profession.

Seems like the late Ruth Perry died in vain. Very sad.
