A friend sent me this - spotted in Bath! In its splendid apparel designed by art wizard Craig Fraser, Domination looks gorgeous as @waterstones.bsky.social Book of the Month! I love seeing it in bookshop windows - please share if you spot it out in the wild!

Just finished ‘Legenda’ by @drjaninaramirez.bsky.social . Great read, real enthusiasm for the subject coming through as usual. Some women discussed I knew little about, and what I learned was fascinating, also quite disturbing in parts, esp. Catherine of Sienna. Leaves me wanting to dig deeper!

The joys of being a Spurs fan, I’ve felt like this for 50 years!
I hate the north London derby

This is a legitimately good idea. Studies show that heavy metal fans tend to be the least angry people. Presumably because their brains experience anger a lot, but in safe, controlled, voluntary ways, so they have a lot more practice dealing with it, but fewer upsetting incidents that triggered it.

Both brilliant, but have to say Trivium as seen them live a few times and always brilliant.

Sounds like a very apposite topic!
Sitting in a pub looking to complete my new talk on the Propaganda of Henry VII. I'll look at the illusory truth effect, how the more someone is exposed to a message, the more they believe it to be true. And Henry had a message he wanted spread.

And yes, I have a gingerbread man

Got our copy yesterday, and we’ve put our little signed sticker in! Very excited to read it, but in the middle of reading Charlotte Cooper-Davis’ Christine De Pizan, so it will have to wait a few days!😊

Think this is going on my Xmas list!
This Christmas, learn the tragic story of the THIRD Yorkist Prince in the Tower, Edward, Earl of Warwick. It's an unhappy tale for a boy doomed by the cruel ambitions of the men around him. Discover more in 'Henry VII and the Tudor Pretenders', available in paperback now.

Just finished ‘Son of Prophecy’ by @nathenamin.bsky.social after enjoying his talk at Gloucester History Festival last year. Great read, largely due to his obvious love of the subject. Learnt lots of new facts from differing perspectives, but now have extensive list of further reading!

Attacking facts and science is a threat to free speech - it has to stop.
