The two best players in the AFC and NFC Championship Games have been Saquon Barkley and James Cook. Pay your running backs!

He doesn’t care about FEMA, NIH etc. He cares about talking about them. Which is why it’s important for those entities to be proactive behind the scenes and realize that all they have to do is Smile and give him credit for shit that isn’t really happening. Newsome understood this yesterday.

Nazi Elon Musk knew what he was doing & who he was doing it for. This isn't an ambiguous gesture. He also knew that he could claim other intentions, play victim, & have many believe him. That's MAGA: overwhelm w/ propaganda & lies so that the obvious isn't obvious unless the Party tells you so.
People with eyes: "Elon Musk make a Nazi salute."

Historians who have studied the rise of fascism: "Elon Musk made a Nazi salute."

Mainstream Media: "Elon Musk made a heartfelt gesture that was misconstrued as a Nazi salute."

There needs to be serious thought about the 1 voter who didn’t vote for Ichiro for the Hall of Fame. Unless it was an error in marking the ballot, the only explanations are clout chasing, personal vendetta, or a political stance. All three set a very bad precedent for the integrity of future voting.

At my first Lakers game this year and there are still at least twice as many Kobe jerseys in the crowd than LeBron jerseys. No doubt LBJ will have his jersey retired & a statue erected here, but Kobe may be the most beloved Laker until the end of time.

I keep seeing the term "DEI hire" used. Let's be clear: unless you've vetted each person you're calling a "DEI hire" for their qualifications, skills, recommendations, etc., you're assuming the person is less qualified based on skin color or sexual orientation, & you've outed yourself as a bigot.

One thing that's way too similar between Twitter and Bluesky—all the damn OF and porn bots.

Smart play by Stafford. Good call by the officials. A pass doesn't have to be pretty or even coming from an upright position. Per the NFL rulebook: "When a player is in control of the ball and is attempting to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his hand starts a forward pass."

Finally left X. I still have an account there because it's a necessity for work, but I won't be posting anything. The MAGA response to the California wildfires pushed me over the edge. I never thought we'd come to a point where Americans openly gloat & revel about a natural disaster. So despicable.
