I have a fondness for the pronouns meaning 'with X' that you find in Spanish, Portuguese and Galician (like conmigo 'with me' and contigo 'with you'), because both the con- bit and the -go bit come from the Latin for 'with' – meaning that conmigo is etymologically 'with-me-with'.

Monkshood flower buds and seed pods are fascinating, especially with their vein-like markings so vividly picked out by the sun behind them. This was being radiant and a little spooky at the Wynn Nature Center in Homer, #Alaska.

Trump sent Vance there twice. He threatened to cut off all federal spending to the state. He vowed to back primary challengers of any Republican who voted against him here. He posted their names online, prompting his fans to send them death threats.

But all that failed, so now he wasn't involved.
Reporter: The senate in Indiana voted against the redistricting effort.

Trump: I wasn't working on it very hard. I wasn't very much involved

This move, like Rubio in general, is worth mocking at face value. But also…

Calibri is apparently more accessible for people with certain visual disabilities. That’s what’s the Trump admin couldn’t abide.

A basic courtesy to an out-group is beyond the pale to this government.
Marco Rubio ordered diplomats to return to using Times New Roman font in official communications, calling his predecessor's decision to adopt Calibri a “wasteful” diversity move

The secretary of state called it a "wasteful" diversity move, according to an internal department cable seen by Reuters.

Complacent vs Complaisant: Understanding the Difference
The distinction between "complacent" and "complaisant" is often blurred, leading to misuse. Complacent means smug or self-satisfied, while complaisant refers to a desire to please. Despite clear definitions, confusion persists, influenced by historical usage and evolving language patterns, with complacent increasingly dominating in contemporary expressions.
