Atlanta's Eastside Beltline Trail meets the 10th St, an orchestra of movements, but nicely done to prioritize the pedestrians and cyclists on a warm spring day.

However, despite efforts otherwise, Milan's vehicle ownership per capita has only gone up in recent years, which has meant, cars parked **everywhere*

What you're seeing is vehicles who use the sidewalk as block-long driveways to park in any space possible. Unlawful, but unenforced.

Greetings from Milan’s Corso Buenos Aires, one of Europe’s busiest shopping streets.

Even though the transformation of vehicle lanes to bicycle lanes isn't done, the lanes are full—and local businesses are going benefit!

Creating a cycling city starts with safe infrastructure, but in many countries access to good bicycles is not far behind.

This week, we got a tour of Fortaleza's new city-sponsored "bicycle rehabilitation center" to help fix donated bikes to be given back to the community. It's the first in Brazil!

Unfortunately, these are no @worldbollardassoc.bsky.social infrastructure, but soda cans in post holes. Some already were mowed over last week.

New Beltline segment and 10th/Monroe crossing opened this week with some new features!

- tighter turn radius (slower turns)
- raised table intersection
- bollards protecting the corners
- fresh kermit

Perfect fall day was a bonus.

This one was a bit opportunistic, ladder found by side of the road needed a new home. One bungee and zero tailgaters later.

While Atlanta has gradually become more friendly to bike, Georgia Tech is delivering some impressive projects to connect campus (and Midtown Atlanta) for those walking and rolling.

New research coming out of Toronto Met. University showing the magnitude of Toronto's cycle network growth (by type) over the past 15 years.

Today's story: If they're building it, it's separated or a cycletrack.

Atlantans: The next time there is a transportation crisis, rest assured that HoneyBaked Ham was a contender for your emergency catering services.

Of course that approach doesn't work for everyone, like the Russian Embassy.

On certain corridors, they have been quite aggressive in taking land (with compensation) to complete the corridors and in some cases negotiating buildings rehab their facade to accommodate the pedestrian paths.

Greetings from Addis Ababa, where they are building a whopping 100km of cycling infrastructure (50km of which was delivered in the past **6 months**)

Does anyone know why transit cars in Japan have embossed numbers? Super small detail, but very classy.

Whenever I need a quick boost of amusement, I turn to the city procurement instagram where someone made a bid that was 41000000% higher than the others, yet still placed middle of the pack.

Is it just transportation where stock photo irony is just rampant?

I love that for every person who says: "you can't expect someone to carry [that] on a bike."

There is a photo of someone carrying [that] on a bike.

Everytime I'm at the Atlanta airport, I like to check in on the (now-defunct) Relay bikeshare bike that refuses to go quietly into the night.

This city desperately is missing a robust and reliable bikeshare system.
