And now I've been introduced to the decidedly creepy Santa, Bring Me Ringo by Christine Hunter, just one of many Ringo-themed novelty records released during the first wave of U.S. Beatlemania. It was co-written and arranged by none other than Angelo Badalamenti.

The Beatles arriving at JFK Airport in February 1964 is such a famous piece of footage, and yet I have only just discovered via Doyle's Ringo book that one of the fan-made placards declared 'Beatles Unfair to Bald Men'.

That's amazing.
