#8. Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Had this in the Steam backlog for ages; finally played through it for First-Person February. I remember bouncing off of it a decade ago. Fine I guess. Descriptions of torture and murder are more unsettling than the actual monsters. Old horror game, it is what it is.

#7. Geese - Getting Killed - A Brooklyn band that Pitchfork Media glazes nonstop. Is this the 2000s? SNL just boosted their stock a bit so I took a listen. Some decent rhythmic ideas and arrangements, but mostly plays like lo-fi yacht rock for hipsters. Lacking some OOMPH, but inoffensive enough.

#5. Avett Brothers & Mike Patton - AVTT/PTTN - Intrigued when Eternal Love got released. I know next to nothing about the Avetts. Ostensibly, they're considered an alt-country act? I guess that means overblown Imagine Dragons bullshit production with a banjo or mandolin thrown in the mix. Skip it.

#3. Blue Gender: The Warrior - They made a "movie". It doesn't quite work. Plays like equal parts TV recap and some weird remix of scenes and sequences from the original story. Entire plot threads and characters are excised to fit the 100 minute runtime. Bit of a mess; you're not missing much here.

#2. Blue Gender - Caught some of its Adult Swim run back in 2003, fully caught up now. Scratches that itch for violent late 90s late night shlock (the way it used to be). Easy enough watch, but be aware that it's definitely a product of its time. The entomophobic should probably steer clear too.
