blehhhhhh that sucks, sorry that happened. Anime inspired styles are popular for good reason - they're expressive, easy to read, and feel familiar. With anything popular, people will hate on it bc it makes them feel special.

Option B would for sure be my preference. Bevelling is almost always a hard-surface op right? If I'm modeling hard-surface, I'm quite likely to have edges that want to remain as undisturbed as possible.
