Putin is a delusional russian imperialist. It would be an admittance of the defeat of the russian "empire" if he were to flee to the US. Plus, his security in the US couldn't be guaranteed as in russia. Assassination would be much more likely.

A conundrum for sure, especially if you don't have someone to collaborate with locally or remotely. I work in I.T. and avoid anything to do with AI. Tech oligarchs are snake oil salesman seeking only profit and don't care about damage they cause. Removing humans from something inherently human.

I think of the phrase: "Perfect is the enemy of good." I know when mixing my band's songs, I am never totally happy with the mix, even though they are good enough.
