Because of how complex PD is, a methodical framework should be considered to better understand interoception and devise methods to treat these issues!

2️⃣The neurodegenerative etiology is likely multisite and variable based on the visceral domain in question. Little is known about sensory afferents in PD - a lot to study on that end!

Interoception is mostly *dampened* in PD. However, urinary sensations are pathologically *amplified* in PD.
