State Rep. James Talarico (D-Austin) has entered the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Republican John Cornyn. Talarico plans to hold a campaign kick-off rally Tuesday evening in his hometown of Round Rock.

You can’t get to peace by repeating the obvious lies of the aggressor. Even if you have no moral qualms about becoming the propagandist of a foreign power, practically speaking it just can’t work.
Witkoff saying that the overwhelming majority in the four Ukrainian regions (Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk) voted to be part of Russia is preposterous. The 2022 referendums were sham. The majority in Zaporizhzhia live in areas under Ukrainian rule where there was no referendum at all.
It’s clear from this that the only difference between Steve Witkoff’s and Vladmir Putin’s views on the war in Ukraine is that Putin actually knows the names of all the five Ukrainian regions he wants to keep.
