There will be a general debate on the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 2 Report in the House of Commons on Monday 2nd December following the MHCLG questions session at 2:30pm that day.

There is a massive economy built on the foundation of the current leasehold rules, with the leaseholders being the poor saps who pick up the tab for everything. Collectively we pay lots of salaries, bonuses, fees and dividends. Reform of this archaic system is long overdue.

Overdue reform to feudal leasehold laws good example of why everything takes so long to get done: consultation paralysis. The new legislation may be needed-but holding another consultation *next* summer? Too much consultation (which protects vested interests) one of the big problems with our system.
