I know, it’s shocking that the Secretary of HHS and the President might be incorrect on something.

Probably smarter than bringing one of the Coos itself.

This is an absolutely bizarre and non-existant scenario, that also has nothing to do with the democrats proposal.

Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

I particularly like the quick redirection away from her treatment by Israel and back to the original point.

Great point and probably best illustrated when the animation studio responsible for Life of Pi won an Oscar…the week of declaring bankruptcy.

Something that’s always bothered me about animation is that once a project is finished, it’s only the actors that get to do interviews about it.

Why don’t the artists who made the film get to be interviewed and talk about the process, answering questions about what made the film special, etc?

Anticipating changes to the 25/26 Covid-19 vaccine regulations @sefyfe.bsky.social & I updated our previous analysis of off-label pediatric Covid-19 vaccination. It is out now in @jamapediatrics.com & accessible here.

Many things happened since we submitted this! I'll touch on a few of them 🧵

Fortunately several states did make the telehealth flexibilities permanent for Medicaid, and private insurance won’t necessarily cease coverage. But yes, this is a dumb thing to not make permanent, and keep tying to CRs

Ridiculously, Medicare Telehealth coverage keeps are getting tied to continuing resolutions. Bills could be passed separately. But political bureaucracy. This means Medicare Telehealth waivers are kaput as of today. My latest for @motherjones.com www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Another shutdown casualty: Medicare telehealth coverage
It's got bipartisan support—and millions of Americans need it. But Congress keeps failing to lock in funding for Medicare telehealth services.

More insurance coverage and better access to primary care also drives down ED visits.
