I left a Moroccan style tea pot on the stove by accident and the water boiled out and I suppose the tea pot heated up to the point that the spout fell off. I called around and it looks like it ...

I assume the magnets have just lost some of their strength in the 12 years I've owned the filter wheel! Anyway it seems to be working fine again. Just need a clear night. Pretty rare things at the moment...

After seeing a post on Cloudy Nights, I've just added some plastic shims (cut from a 4 pint milk bottle) under the circuit board that has the Hall effect sensors on. This has reduced the distance between the magnets in the carousel and the sensors.
