All I can say about Lia Wälti (and I can’t say much without getting too emotional about it) is that she made you feel proud to be an Arsenal fan. An absolute 💎 of a player that will be sorely missed.

I'm not looking forward to Arsenal fans being INSUFFERABLE but there is something funny about how Chelsea grew season on season, becoming the best team in England, trying to replicate Arsenal's UWCL success only to keep falling short (WOB then Barcelona) and then out of nowhere, Arsenal did it again
Arsenal have spent more of the last decade failing to qualify for the Champions League than playing it in, got knocked out of the first round of qualifcation last season - four months after a particuarly dramatic ET SF loss the previous season - and bounced back by winning the whole thing.
