Finally making some progress on my #littlefreelibrary! I loved Curious George books when I was young and in the process of painting this cover I learned about the incredible lives of the couple who wrote and illustrated the stories! 💙📚

I was able to attend @literaryarts.bsky.social incredible presentation by @emilyrcwilson.bsky.social last night. I also picked up copies of Wilson’s translations of both The Iliad and The Odyssey, although after listening to her read passages from them, I want to listen to the audiobooks more! 💙📚

I love audiobooks, specifically because of the humanity narration provides.

I have negative interest in using this “service” as a consumer.

As in, I am less likely to read in any format when I see this is an option for a title.

To quickly amplify this, an author on here posted their title and said it was available at libraries so I requested to be notified when it became available in Libby because my library did not have the title yet. It was available to me within a week!

A lot of us are forced into Amazon/KDP because it's 80% of our sales and visibility.

While we can get in other stores/Libby/Hoopla, it won't matter if you don't read/buy/or request our books from other locations.
