True, depending upon who "they" are. Democrats have been fighting to make higher Edu more affordable for the poor & working class for decades. Republicans always block it, OR cut the programs created by Obama, Clinton, Biden, etc. as soon as GOP have the majority. Trump/GOP are doing it again today.
I don't think they want people to be educated. They will CRITICIZE Americans for not being good enough, but they'd prefer the more exploitable foreign Visa workers while keeping Americans under-educated & easier to manipulate. Also, keep us unstable & insecure w/ less safety-nets.
