Oh that's what I meant. I don't mind the jank of ds2, I think ds2 is crap because their entire design philosophy was quite obviously "They liked it because it was really really hard, right?" Whether that is true or not, awful approach to a game imo.

I haven't played it, but based on what everyone I know has been saying, it seems pretty clear at this point that hollow knight is to silksong as dark souls was to dark souls 2. And that is -not- a compliment.

In one of the earliest stories I wrote I had chess moves accompanying peoples' lines of dialogue in a conversation. Chess, so it was extra smart.

Nine Sols is pretty good, outside of some weird anti-Chinese sentiment and jacking off over spirituality. Certainly seemed like I had more fun playing that than everyone else I know playing Silksong.

An all-time favourite of y'all: my take on "Ophelia". Seeing how old this piece is (it's been effin' 14 years already ...) there is a lot I would do differeynt today, but I think it doesn't take away of the impact this picture has.

Painting of a female red tabby anthro cat, mostly suspended in water. Her mouth is open, her eyes stare blankly out of the picture. Her palms are raised out of if the water in a gesture quoting the "Ophelia" painting by John Millais. Different flowers float next to her on the water's surface. While the rest of the image is rendered rather realistically, her hair underwater is way more stylized, with golden strains interwoven into it.
