1) Specifying no FICTIONAL noncon
2) No "dangerous" kink
3) No DISCUSSING self harm, suicide, or substance abuse unless its "educational"

I can draw anything. I can make characters as abstract or grounded as I please. I can put them in peril or paradise at the flick of a wrist and the wisp of a whim. I can tear them to shreds and they'll be fine because I decide they're fine. Because it's all fake. You are trying to chain daydreams

You might see several artists mad about the bluesky policy update banning non-con, even artists who do not make that kind of material, and wonder why it's such a problem. If that's you, here is a quick breakdown:

Today was a day. Just a day was all it was.

A lot of my followers and general sphere understands this but it's really important we recognize that even if we don't like some art for personal moral reasons, we need to defend its right to exist. We went from no rape to no cat ears in less than two months. Everyone who warned about this was right

The impulse to say that erotica CAN'T say anything of value, that porn MUST be mindless indulgence, is an extension of this problem by the way.

Sex and kink are just parts of life. Art that explores both primarily can touch on other subjects meaningfully as well. Stop trying to silo everything.
