so if you mean why blacksky is changing, its meant to insulate people from bluesky mod decisions, and keep bluesky from just deleting peoples data and hard work from bluesky.

but blacksky will have their own website/app view so if you use blacksky you'll be able to see someone who is on blacksky, regardless if they're banned by bluesky. also if you migrate to blacksky now you're data will be backed up so if bsky were to ban you, you wouldn't lose everything

basically, links can still post on other apps that are on the same network as bluesky, but people on bluesky dot gov or the bluesky app, can't see it. you have to use those other apps. it'll be the same with blacksky launches their "app-view" in the next 5 days
