We welcome the expansion of the ban on burning to protect more of the UK's deep peat.

But #Labour must go further to join up policy by committing to legislation to #EndPeatSales - in 2023 761,479 m3 was used for horticulture.

Level the playing field and hit a win-win for #Nature and #Horticulture!

It's 17 July, and our #Peat extraction counter has surpassed half a million cubic metres. ⚠️

#DEFRA have yet to release the Growing Media Monitor peat use stats, so our data is from 2022 - three years of unknowns.

#Horticulture is changing, but legislation is necessary to deliver a #PeatFree UK.
