I removed the limits on my Instagram usage to post a music recommendation, only to find myself spending an hour mindlessly scrolling through Reels. Just like poet said: "It gives you what you desire, but it robs you of what you need".

Once again I turned to ChatGPT to help with some personal issues (I know!), only to receive generic and predictable answers, along with lots of validation. That's what I miss most about talking with a close friend: not just validation, but being challenged on my bullshit.

I still use it for coding daily, but I am always wary of the code it generates. It needs the right context, and a rigorous review after.
For general Q&A though, I've been burned by it so many times I simply don't want to engage with it anymore. I'm planning on cancelling my ChatGPT subscription.

I've been using AI less and less lately. I used be a great supporter of using it, to becoming more and more disillusioned. Once you "get" the pattern it uses to answer your questions, you can almost predict what it's going to say. That said... www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I bought a new pair of high quality headphones (Kuba Disco 2 Classic) and I've been blown away by the sound quality. It's so great to just lie down and listen to great music on a great headphone. It even gave me goosebumps!

This bluesky looks like early twitter. And I mean it in the best way possible. Modern X is a cesspool of bigotry and all the horrible social media practices that makes me angry and sad. I think that's exactly the point, right? One more reason to stay away from it.
