A Cuban Uber driver was brutally attacked by an American passenger in North Carolina.
The man tried to strangle him with the seatbelt — and it was all caught on camera.

This wasn’t just a physical assault. It was a reminder of the racism and ignorance many Latinos face every day.

Best news this week: My client picked up in a New Hampshire ICE raid last month will finally be going home on an order of minimum bond. This is our third successful bond case of the week. Good things are still happening!

Thank god on this. I've been heartbroken thinking of all the folks who waited years before Title 42 ended to enter *legally* with CBPOne appts & suddenly were deemed illegal & ordered to leave immediately or... (risk going to the gulag!). Hope it will hold. abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory...

Thousands of migrants who entered the U.S. legally through CBP One after waiting months in Mexico are now left without protection…

I am Pedro Víctor Serrano Díaz, a human rights activist from Cuba. For years, I faced harassment by State Security for speaking out against the regime. In 2020, I recorded agents threatening me under Decree-Law 370 for my social media posts.

The case of Juan Carlos López Gómez, a U.S. citizen wrongfully detained by ICE, is not an isolated incident. It’s a painful reminder that racial profiling in immigration enforcement is real — and dangerous.

The Republican administration has just revoked the parole for those of us who entered through CBP One. We spent over a year in Mexico, waiting 2 do things the right way, using the mechanisms established by the previous administration. Now, we’re living in fear.

“There are immigrants whose only ‘crime’ is working tirelessly without a work permit—breaking their backs to support this country. There should be a program that recognizes their contribution and gives them the immigration status they deserve.”

They said they were going to make America great again. I just want it to make sense again.

Some personal news: the Department of Homeland Security has given me, an immigration lawyer born in Newton, Massachusetts, seven days to leave the U.S. Does anyone know if you can get Italian citizenship through great-grandparents?
