this piece is quite good mostly because it gets at the real reason for a lot of maga support. it's not about trump. they simply hate having to think about what they say and they absolutely will not stand for having to take responsibility for their speech. not remotely deep. nymag.com/intelligence...

It’s overwhelming, but triage teaches us this: don’t waste energy on what’s gone. Prioritize what we can still save. Focus our efforts where they matter most.

Now that we've discovered the kind of man Trump WANTED to be Attorney General, maybe we had better insist on similarly invasive investigations of his other nominees to make sure they at least ask the age of the high school juniors they pay for sex.
