I think it's understated how much legwork first person view does to elevate tension in games like these that you don't get with third person, like you can be at a level where basically nothing poses a threat anymore but like, what if there's a guy behind you? Scary.

Bedtime but this game stresses me out. The first person view and constant ambient monster noises make me so high strung even tho I'm at the pt of the game where I have infinite heal everything potions and am in no real danger. I'm so exhausted I feel like I spent 4 hrs running around a cave for real

one thing I like about this game is how some foes respawn but the pain in the ass ones usually don't, it's unexpectedly kind. it feels great to go around merking the soldier enemies metal gear solid style after realizing they stay dead. If the bow guys respawned I might've ragequit by now

I'm more surprised when the chest DOESN'T have a skeleton at this point. Like fool me once and all that but it doesn't really work after the 17th skeleton chest I'm kinda prepared for that whole situation by now.

ok giving out the weapon thats good against skeletons (the mace) in a chest in the room where four out of the six chests contain skeletons, after a hallway full of skeletons that fall from the ceiling, after i already opened all the skeleton chests, is pretty funny. good one fromsoft.
