Still not sure different discs make much difference in my case, but recently the Trail might be closest to doing that for me. 👍

Might have to steal that idea. I like it.

Baseball for tree sticks? Good idea really…

That had better be a lot of downhill.

Probably my Rhythm, trying to turn it as much as possible without burning to give it plenty of time to fade back and hope I make it 2/3 of the way.

🤷‍♂️

Buddy of mine throws an opto Saint almost exclusively. He plays w/ a Saint and a putter. Sometimes he carries a 200g Shark for Reasons(tm).

Seems like a great disc - one I'll definitely check out when/if I start throwing 9s again.

Nice! So cool that it's working out!

😆

If you don't like the microbubbles, they don't have a super understable mid in their line. The VIP Tursas will turn, but may not go all the way over reliably.

The VIP Air Tursas DOES do it, but I haven't found anything in their line comparable to a Rollo/Paradox in heavier/non-bubble plastic.

YMMV, of course. I've found that Westside's stuff flies pretty true-to-numbers for my noodly arm, and it's one of the reasons I like them.

If you're a stronger thrower, you might find them a bit understable, but they've got a pretty solid line IMO.

That's fantastic!

Fission is solid. I've had a couple but i tend to prefer the feel of neutron overall.

Considering a fission Rhythm tho - I have an old 163g neutron and it's one of my fav discs, but the 3 other 163/164 Rhythms I've picked up since are all *much* more stable. 🤷‍♂️

On my list:

- os driver: Bear - have an Air; good hook but turns more than i want, esp in wind
- straight/s driver: Hatchet - have an Air; too flippy
- straight mid: Warship
- slight-us mid: VIP Tursas
- os approach: Harp

... If those play as they suggest, it really covers everything for me.

What I currently have:

- stable driver: Stag
- understable driver: Underworld
- overstable mid: Pine
- understable mid: Tursas (VIP Air)
- throwing putter: Maiden
- putting putter: Swan2

All have done their jobs as at least as well as my Discraft/MVP favs.

One of my favs. I have a low-160s VIP and it is very flippy, even w/ my arm. I do a lot of hyzer-flips, and flip-to-turnover with it. A level release often burns at full power, but thrown easier will give a nice, easy turn.

It is predictable + reliable though - at least insofar as my form allows!

It is. For me, it's the right amount of stable - it's gonna glide straight for a good bit - maybe the *slightest* bit of turn - but it's gonna reliably fade left at the end.

Honestly, my main bag may be almost fully Westside soon. They've really proved winners over the last 6 months.

I have a fission Trail my brother-in-law gave me a couple weeks ago. First disc to reliably fly further than my Cicada - which is noteworthy. Had it flip over a couple of times tho - probably going to pick up a neutron.

Also considering a VIP Hatchet - my VIP Air is promising, but just too flippy.

Will keep that in mind if/when I graduate to faster discs. Atm, the Underworld is my go-to turnover driver.
