4) SENSITIVITY READING: This tells you if anything in your doc could prove harmful, marginalising, disenfranchising, or offensive. It advises on CWs. It actively helps make your work more diverse, authentic & inclusive. It can be fast/slow. It does not look at sp/gr/p or mechanics - that's editing!

3) DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING: This helps improve the mechanics of your game, the game terms you are using, the structure, plot, and characters if you are writing a novel or an accompanying adventure module. It's more collaborative. It can be slow / fast. It doesn't look at sp/gr/p - that's copyediting!

2) COPYEDITING: This is an in-depth look at a doc. It involves several readings and will correct any spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes. It also looks at language choices, flow, and coherency. It has a slow turnaround. There may still be minor typos which is why proofreading comes next!

1) PROOFREADING: This is a very quick glance over a doc which has already been fully edited and is hoped to be print-ready. Turnaround is fast. The only aim is to catch any minor last min typos. If there are lots of major corrections, proofreading may miss some of them.
