Had a couple of days trying to recover from burn out which meant homemade soup (made with the last of the garden's summer crop) and crochet.

I don't feel any less burnt out but at least I've had soup.

Realistically I'm usually in bed by 9.30 because of chronic pain, but I've really got it in my head that Something Bad™ will happen if I don't make it by midnight.

Don't even get me started on how scared I am I'll accidently eat my last Rolo without giving it away. A chocolately eldritch pact.

I've always joked that I need to be in bed by midnight or I'll turn into a pumpkin but the joke went on so long that over the years I've genuinely become afraid of the consequences of Being Up At Midnight. Like I'd become some Carpenter-esque pumpkin Frankstrosity.

Ttrpg design is wild because half the time you're thinking "I wonder if I can make people do vector calculus to resolve an attack check" and the other half of the time your game is called Monster Butts and the rules are that if a monster hits you with its butt you become a monster.
