So many eyebrow-raising details here that the public should be aware of, including the RCMP’s alleged stonewalling of government lawyers and the linguistic loopholes reporters battle when dealing with BC’s FOI offices (which I can attest to)

In February last year, BC’s Ministry of Forests wrote a letter telling CN rail it believed the company played a role in the fire that destroyed Lytton. It intended to seek costs.

Six weeks later, it reversed course and closed its file.

Halibut is pricey right now but this splurge was sooooo worth it

Slow-braised cherry tomatoes and peppers with fennel, then roasted in the oven with halibut and capers

People can generally stay in supportive housing as long as they want, which comes with varying levels of wraparound services
If/when people are ready, that’s when they leave
People with resources of their own aren’t eligible for that housing, however
