You have all noticed this, right?

"In 2023, citizen science data showed UK nations had a 78% decrease in flying insect abundance since 2004; the sharpest fall was 83% in England."
BBC Farming Today reports that the Office for Environmental Protection believes Defra may have broken environmental laws in 2023/2024…

…by allowing neonicotinoid pesticides known to be harmful to bees & insects. The last govt gave emergency authorisation for use on sugar beet for last 4 years.
Where are all the insects?
Can you really have a picnic without wasps these days? And is it true there are fewer bees and butterflies than before?

In 1968 Finland banned for profit education, the few private schools that exist in Finland have to reinvest any profit they make or pay it back to parents.

It has been in the Top 3 in education for the last 20 years.

There should be no profit in education or healthcare.

Nobody ever planted a tree in this photo. It was a working gravel pit 30 years ago.

We need to get over our obsession with planting trees and let nature do the job. The results are just SO much better.

It's also about realising we are not, in fact, central to everything. 🌍

Human rights are universal - if we start stripping away basic human rights from any section of society then none of us has rights – just privileges that can be taken away by people in power whenever they want. Please remember this

All tv and radio talkshow hosts, if they are discussing Syria today, should be asking:

Shouldn’t the British government allow Shamima Begum to come home, since she is on the side of the guys who toppled Assad, to the delight of British and American governments?

Because the richest 0.01% are 4000% richer.

In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.

Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.
While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant per person of £10tn.

That's how privatisation 'works'.

Starmer is partnering up with Blackrock, the most criminally corrupt shadow bank on the planet who employ people to discredit net zero.
Their next move will be to privatise nations, do you get that? Public services are small potatoes to these people. 'Countrypreneurship' has found its home in SEZs.
Excessive deregulation means that the UK is hurtling towards the next crash
Deregulation creates opportunities for bankers to take reckless risks with other people’s money, collect bonuses and destabilise economies.
