I went rogue on the hem of my Raunioiset Sweater and tried to combine a split hem with the pattern's I-cord bind-off. I'm really not sure how this is going to work out... I didn't weave in the ends yet, in case I have to backtrack. Hem is pinned down & blocking now. Wish me luck, #KnitSky! 🤞🧶

For #WIPWednesday and #ShowMeYourKnits WIP Week: Here's a progress update on my Valentine's Day socks! 🧦❤️

Just one month to go and quite a bit left to do, but if I quit getting distracted by other WIPs, I know I can get them done in time!

This is a sad attempt at swatching. But hear me out: this linen yarn is going to stretch under the weight of the finished garment, making the act of swatching moot anyway. The pattern says to knit a giant swatch, then stretch it with weights... but... yeah, that's not happening. 😂 🧶

If this week had an official yarn color, I think it would be this one... I'm just feelin' it!

This is dyed on that Alpaca sock base that I'm not a fan of for this project, but the color added by Craftily Dyed Yarn is nevertheless a work of art. 🧶❤️ 10/10 recommend!

My knitting blog was originally called “The Spicy Knitter” and it was a spin off of my personal blog, “Feminist Run Amok”. (If Ravelry had existed at the time, I probably never would have bothered… lol. )

Oof. These socks keep going in and out of the naughty basket. I'm really struggling with this alpaca blend yarn - it's so splitty! And I know I'm not going to like the look of the slight halo, what's the point of finishing them? Yet, I keep knitting! 🤦🧶

This hippo lovey I knitted for my bestie's baby had an encounter with their pup! Usually, I gift knits with a "no mending included" policy, but my friend was so sad about the incident that I offered to repair it. The darning on the hand isn't perfect, but that's okay. Chicks dig scars. 😂 #KnitSky

Liv wants to see cardigans this week for #ShowMeYourKnits! This is my first and favorite cardi - Mrs. Darcy by Mary Weaver - I knitted it way back in the day when she originally shared it in the Craftster forums. This piece is long-gone, but I think I should knit myself a new one... yes?!? 🧶

Another festive project for #ShowMeYourKnits! I started knitting these ornaments for an Advent garland about a decade ago with every intention of knitting all 24, but so far, all I have is six. And, TBH, I don't know where they ended up. 🤦‍♀️ Too bad! They are cute!

Here's my festive project for #ShowMeYourKnits! 🎄

It's a mystery poncho that I'm knitting with the mini skeins on my Advent Calendar. So far it's just a ton of seed stitch for the border... not my fave because it's SO SLOW to knit! 🐢🧶 But I'll get to the exciting parts of the pattern soon.

Hi #ShowMeYourKnits! My advent calendar is ready to go! 🎄🧶 My mom stitched this in the 80s from a Creative Circle kit embroidery kit and it still brings me so much joy. This year, it's loaded with mini skeins from mspamelaoriginals.etsy.com's "A Mid-Century Modern Christmas" Advent.
