Ive never used D23 & I commend you taking it to the standard you’ve achieved. However the best neg quality I have ever seen & had with Ilford films consistently comes from DD-X then slightly less IQ from LC-29. & so on down to the cheapest ID11 This has nowt to do with the image made just the neg!

I actually like photographing dogs and have done quite a few over the years mostly working dogs this is one of my favourites a beautiful rescued greyhound, such a gentle animal.

If I ever reach sane dotage I will watch the Monkey series again. At the moment I am relearning my joinery skills with perhaps the eventual aim of making a 10x8 camera I saved enough really good WA hard woods with that in mind… 20 yrs ago!

I had a really nice chat with this couple. We noticed many Japanese with dogs some with diaper jackets on visiting temples, many were Chiba’s of 1 flavour or another really lovely animals but sadly I am allergic to dogs eyes,sinus & asthma especially in confined areas.

I don’t use it for 35mm only MF I scanned this with myXT2 with Canon FD slide copier and a Jobo light ACROS setting. I think I can better IQ with more of the in camera settings. The original was Reala on a gray dark
