Unloading a kiln at Royal Crown Derby. This film is going to get a bath any larger than this and it looks like it’s been sand blasted. Taken in the late 80’s Pentax

My B in L once said once said “one gets joy from buying a boat & once again when it is disposed of” I can’t imagine the same could be said for the owner of this one!
A phone photo of a print that has hung in my hallway for some time, it's from a large format negative printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Pearl paper.

Yes the Pentax 645 has the best affordable interchangeable glass available especially when one considers that all the 6x7 glass can be used as well. I sold mine & some of the lenses intending to buy a Rollei wide 1st series which I still have to find! Saw & handled a GX wide in JPN but very pricey🫣
Using some GP3 in 220 today while taking the P645 out, it's quite a manageable camera with a prime, but this zoom takes it to another level in size.

Curves then desaturate+contrast in Affinity but the fact was the day was gray totally flat sky there was almost no colour to convert. Pentax/Tamron or the wish I never sold it pancake!

I only saw the slightest glimpse of metal when the hand was moved but the Retina shutter had been pressed at that point captured on HPS a while ago. Do the scales tell the story, I’ll never know!

Bill, do you notice any significant difference between 16x9 and what the anamorphic lens produces?

I was about to quit for the night & power failed with an explosion!
I looked out of the window to see a fire was burning on the vacant land close by it has been very gusty the whole week with terrible fires a long the east coast of Tasmania. In this case a gust had cause lines to arc & start a fire

I thought Adox was cheap I’m in Europe! I’m thinking of a 10x8 Almost completed 2 sml router tables a flat bed &horizontal mostly for framing but having a collected a selection of machinable timber it crossed my mind I might be able make one! ie unless I get too impatient and buy an Intrepid!
Good to hear from you! I'd noticed you were quiet, hope you filled your bag with film while you were in Japan 😉 A visit there is still on my bucket list, so one day ... But I am expecting some 4x5 colour neg in the post today from China, only place it's affordable really 🙄

Oh I wanted to buy a few bricks of ACROS but both Oz & Jpn all have CT scanners & to return to Tas involved 2 scans. Wanted to buy a Kalloflex & Rollei Wide couldn’t find either but did get some Rollei parts and another mint SV with a working external meter just in case mine can’t be repaired again!

Even from the Antipodes BREXIT looked like dumb and dumber for the average Brit yet the instigators are sitting pretty. It’s a real mess now!

There’s no luxury in carrying around a Pentax 67 & 3 lenses, love the kit but hate the weight. I now restrict my MF walks to folders & TLRs but I really want a wide angle version of one or both🤣 Or a Chroma perhaps? 6x9 is a happy format for me🤗
Without question my best results have been on my Pentax 67 but it’s rather a luxury item and not to be carried around each day. 35mm defo has its place though, just not in my Leica :-)

The llc was my first serious camera I’ve owned it for nigh on 60 yrs, it’s a wonderfull camera but the shutter jammed half way through the last film. Apparently the Retina repair expert lives in NZ! The camera I would really like to try is the Fuji / Voigtlander 66/7 wide angle, seems they are rare!
I tried three other 35mm rangefinders before I got to the Retina IIc. The first three all had problems. The Retina IIc is the Goldilocks rangefinder for me. It is a joy to shoot and the images are nice and punchy. Its quirkiness is endearing for me.
