No one ever said trade was an "unalloyed good." No one ever said the GATT/WTO/PTAs/US policy were about "efficiency at all costs." This is wildly ahistorical & not what happened from 1947-2025. It's not true when GOP officials like Bob Lighthizer say it & it's not true when Sullivan/Tai/Dems say it.
