Casual gamer, love fantasy books, pretty left of center politically though I think I keep an open mind.
Possible he was wrong, out of the loop on what Witkoff was doing. That level of incompetence is also bad though.

I think it's something about the RFK and Olivia Nuzzi affair, apparently before she was interested in RFK she had a fling with Mark Sanford and the details get weird?

I think. I'm trying to avoid it.

I have found that I want to talk AT people and think I've "won" much, much more than I want to argue with them.

Probably isn't great, but leaving a snarky reply and then muting them makes me feel a lot better than long back and forths.

? Policy wise and from a bargain perspective it was a horrible decision. Politics wise it's much, much murkier. The discharge petition was always going to be big news whenever Johnson had to bring the House back.

No corruption too small to go unrewarded.

The coach got arrested for participating in rigged poker games, right? A player from another team got arrested for sharing nonpublic info.

Or did I miss some charges?

Until we get humanoid robotics/actual AI combination where complicated or skilled manual labor gets replaced too.

Which is further out so who knows.

Doing what at parties? Being around Epstein isn’t a crime. If she saw men committing sex crimes she should say that. Any of them. So far very few actual accusations have been made. if there’s something here then SAY. IT.

If the peace holds and progress is actually made, maybe he can get it next year. I'm actually serious. Yes most of the work is done by folks under him, whatever, if it holds I'm fine with giving the guy an award. Doesn't change anything else.

... the government is currently shut down because Democrats AREN'T "just allowing this all to happen"
October 3, 2025 at 7:44 AM
Sigh. This is the headline that started all the arguing. I think it's simplistic to ignore the fact that poverty temporarily went down due to a huge increase in government spending that no one ever planned on making permanent.
October 2, 2025 at 5:23 PM
It's the generalization without context or understanding that I'm objecting to. The economy wasn't terrible under Biden. Poverty went up because there was less government spending, not because the economy tanked. There is an important difference that he intentionally ignored.

Like you.
October 2, 2025 at 1:41 PM
If you want to use it to say that expanding the CTC is good, yeah that works. If you're using it to say that Biden was bad, if your purpose is to zoom out and point fingers, it's not useful or even honest, really.
October 1, 2025 at 3:19 PM
If you're using it to say that the economy got worse, yes it is.

If you're just saying that poverty went up, it's true. It's taking it that extra step that's frankly dishonest, or at least certainly not useful.

But practically we'd have to wait until he's out of office to charge anyone, and you have to assume he'd hand out pardons like candy while still in office.

And that assumes Vance or some other toady isn't the next President.

Fish farming is very different from fishing though? Like raising fish as a business.

Can't sue the government and Trump is almost certainly acting in his "official" capacity here, unfortunately.

I wonder how many OTHER right wing pundits that aren't covered by that could catch a defamation suit though
