My cynical view is that they finally realized that the deluge of AI slop eroded customer confidence in products on their sites enough to lower sales, and they're trying to eke confidence back while still profiting from the slop.

Will people be able to use the maps they make with this tool in commercial products?

My group is all freelance TTRPG designers and veteran playtesters, and we've modded other systems to fit our group's tastes before, but we couldn't fix Houses of the Blooded. There are some systems that are so poorly written that they can't be salvaged. Glad you haven't run into one yourself.

The opposite is also true. A great GM and great players aren't enough to overcome a shitty game.

You just need one, at least for websites. I've yet to find an AI button that I couldn't be permanently rid of with the element picker in uBlock Origin.
