LGBTQ+ people today are the legacy of those who dared to be. 🏳️‍🌈

Because of ACT UP activists in the '80s, leaders like Sylvia Rivera in the '60s–and so many others–we're able to fight for our community in courtrooms across the country.

To those who dared to fight for our rights, we thank you. ❤️

📣 Governor Newsom has 5 bills on his desk that would protect the rights of trans people in California. He does not have a good record on trans rights, and we need to call, mail, and email to make sure he signs them into law.

Take action today, more info: transfamilysos.org/action-neede...

This was such a tricky story. How do you celebrate a huge important change that will help protect trans and nonbinary folks going forward — while also mourning that this protection won’t be extended to tens of thousands of people?
coyotemedia.org
If you've legally changed your name and gender marker in California, that info is searchable online. A new bill seeks to seal those records — but does it go far enough?

But What Did They Used to Call You?
A bill to seal the name and gender change records for trans and nonbinary people is set to pass in California. It’s not enough.
