Finally, we all understand what the problem was at twitter: the bird logo and name has too great a brand value to continue to be associated with the empty husk that remains. Time to right size the brand to the company’s diminished trajectory!

Someone needs to explain the equity value of twitter. Fidelity now says it’s worth about 1/3 of the original purchase price of $44B, calling it $15B. However, the company has $13B of debt on the books. This would give the shareholder equity as $2B. Why is stock being granted to employees at $20B?
