I'm quite happy with this paper - I think it's a relatively accessible read, and includes our most advanced track simulations yet. Thanks to everyone at Palaeontology for making such a nice paper.

The new focus stack + pixel shift on the new Nikon Z8 firmware is awesome! Those numbers are mm. 25 focus positions, with 32 pixel shift images at each position, totaling 64GB of RAW images before merge and stack. Nikkor MC 105mm.

In case anyone finds this useful, I've now added a 'shape fitter' to the #blender extensions library, allowing you to fit spheres, planes, and cylinders to vertex selections:

I really like @zen-browser.app but any site that requires username password like this just always fails, and I have to return to a chromium browser. I think this is a firefox issue, but does anyone know a solution?

This would be the same expensive "custom" grants portal that includes the classic toggle:
"Click "no" to add staff"
When I asked years ago if our "custom" portal could have the wording changed: "no, that's beyond the scope of what we can do"

Ultimately, this frivolity was so I now have a complete workflow in one software, so can combine #xromm data with simulation data all in the same world space and time in Blender.
