The failure is having allowed politically-driven US social media companies get away with creating and promoting a toxity which has poisoned every part of our polticial and social discourse.

A simple ban would cut off & isolate vulnerable children and not prevent them being bullied and abused in real life or online. It will push people to use even less regulated channels and throw them to the wolves when they pass the magic age marker

I've seen so many people talk about mental clouds lifting and things suddenly clicking into place
