The events in Minneapolis this past week are clearly affecting people in a way that the other craziness of the past year hasn’t.

Our church leaders have done a great job of addressing the political climate in a way that’s not partisan but with a clear point of view of what’s biblical.

I think this is the danger of loneliness and the absence of healthy human relationships that can help keep us grounded. When our experience of life increasingly happens through a screen and the internet, we lose that connection to reality.

I worry there's a rapidly increasing number of people whose sense of reality is actually slipping away from them. It feels wild to consider that's happening--it's like something out of a dystopian movie.

I think they should just outsource it. Or even better, developers at multiple newspapers should collaborate on an open source app. With the exception of the NY Times, most papers aren't funded well enough to try to use their website/app as a competitive advantage. The value is in the journalism.

This makes it look like the website is a native iOS app but it's really just using your browser to load the page.

I haven’t heard of anyone trying to get 7-8+ weeks from an unlimited PTO policy but I’m curious how that turned out. 😁 I think 4-5 weeks is reasonable. I’m sure 6 weeks is also no problem for someone who has tenure.
