The parents of a friend of mine brought a yuzu tree branch when they moved from Japan to Southern France and planted it in their garden. It’s been thriving and they get plenty of yuzu every year. Sometimes my friend mails me a boxful!

I’ve been editing copy that’s been written and translated by AI. The quality is abysmal and it takes me much more time than a straight translation, in part because the AI-generated source makes no sense. I’m paid a fraction of what I used to be paid. But it’s the only work available out there.
