I was a hospital social worker, until I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, stage four, metastasized. I was told I had a year to live. That was almost seven years ago. https://pattywarman.substack.com/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

The Lloyd Center Mall in Portland, Oregon opened in 1961. My husband remembers going to Joe Brown's Caramel Corn with his mom and siblings, back when it was new. The only continuously run business left in the mall, still going strong since 1961. We had to go back before the mall is demolished soon!

On the way to Sunset Beach, Oregon. Loved seeing the elk and picked up some sand dollars for the grandkids. Can't wait to break one open and help them find the three tiny doves.

If your high school is having a 50th year reunion, you must attend! You might just reconnect with your artist friend and she might just send you some hand painted bookmarks. Brilliant!

I went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium to see the jellyfish, but all I saw were these spineless democrats.

The only reason I am alive today is because doctors at the National Institute of Health were able to run experimental treatments and develop a new drug for my type of cancer. I am forever grateful.

But the Republican Party doesn't care about people with cancer. Cruelty is the goal.

Went to see jellyfish at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Only saw 8 spineless Democrats who caved.

Letter from my dad in basic training during the Korean War

"I was out in the bayonet field last week. That made me sick to my stomach, waving a 10 in. blade of cold steel and growling like a tiger. Ironically our instructor's name is Slaughter."

Does anyone have any experience with • Musicians’ earplugs (Etymotic, EarPeace, etc.)?

I went to a concert to see Sierra Hull. The music was great, but I could barely understand any of the lyrics when she sang. ChatGPT says I am old. It says I need to try musicians earplugs. Any thoughts?

IThere are many brave dissenter's around the world, most unknown. One person who is an amazing example of dissent is Ai Weiwei.
Seattle Art Museum has been holding an exhibit of his work. It ends on September 7. I think this Thursday is a free day. It's worth the drive to Seattle!

Yes it's a trip hazard, but the joys outweigh the risks when the grandchildren are here!

Vernal, Utah is the gateway to the Dinosaur National Monument. There are many dinosaur sculptures along the road. This vintage dino was our favorite. It used to honk at cars to get people to notice the restaurant behind it.

My son planted some sweet pea seeds in his dahlia beds and they are amazing. Vibrant colors along with beautiful scents! Just lovely.

E. Jean Carroll narrates her book about her trial where she accused Trump of raping her. Trump didn't even bother to show up for the trial or to testify on his behalf.

Northern Michigan University in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is home to the world's largest wooden geodesic done. Amazingly, also home to the world's tallest trophy! If you are looking for a college, instate tuition is $13,000, out of state is $18,000. If you love winter, this is the place for you!

Took a boat trip of the Picture Rocks National Seashore. Saw the famous tree, pictured on a quarter. The tree is growing on a rock which offers it no nutrition. If you look closely, you can see the trees roots have spanned to the land, where it can get nutrition. Also known as the Tree of Life.

Boyne City Thunder, Michigan. There are the fast speed boats and then all the other boats watching the action. These boats are in the very short river that connects Lake Michigan to Round Lake in Charlevoix. We saw boats with as many as six engines, 500 hp each, for at total of 3000 hp!
