Phil might have said 6 more weeks but the birds are telling me spring is coming. Fuck off winter. I need sun and flowers.

Had my first mental breakdown of this shit show last night. Hormones had a lot to do with it but overwhelming fear for the future of my children (one is special needs and the other is loud and proud LGBTQ+) was really the driving force.

To everyone in the LGBTQ+ community and all my POC or immigrant neighbors, you are loved. You are wanted. Don't let the Nazis make you doubt your worth or your place in our society.

Super cold ice water is SO good and being fully hydrated really helps my anxiety. But it'll be a cold day in hell before I willingly drink a drop until RIGHT before I go to sleep.

In life, be a xenophyophore.
The Xenophyophore is a single-celled organism that can grow several inches across, building its body out of sand, shells, and other seafloor debris. It’s a walking trash castle, but it’s thriving. #marinelife #science

In local news, my state rep is trying to pass a law to make selling raw milk to people legal with a local creamery leading the charge. Just in time for H5N1. At this point, I hope it passes and those assholes get everything they voted for.

I will be boycotting these as best I can. If as many people as possible, pull back as much as possible, the companies will still feel the pain. There are some areas where people have no other options than some of these stores.

I'm partial to the anglerfish both in how it attracts food and treats it's males. Truly a gold standard for living.
Some deep-sea critters, like the tripod fish, literally stand still on fins and wait for food to come to them. Patience? Genius? Laziness?

You tell me: What’s your ultimate deep-sea hustle strategy?

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.
