It's this mixing that makes such communications really dangerous, in my view. People think "if this is real, that must be as well."
Small farm campaigners: please keep your guard up, and don't let your movements get captured by conspiracism and far-right ideology.

Good morning. To save folks the trouble: I've been on right wing watch lists since I began teaching in grad school at UNC in the 90s, accused of promoting "citizen influence on practices affecting our natural and human environment." That's it. My woke agenda. Still at it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Agree. I showed the movie reenactment of this scene to my students this semester and we discussed satyagraha as an ethic & tactic

We’re in a moment now where it would be worth people taking three hours to watch Gandhi, particularly the scene of the salt march. There is value to making the brutality of your opponent so plain as day that no one can argue with it. The clarity of that brought down an empire

Amy is an incredible journalist. She’s so good at getting academic research out to the public where it can have an impact.

Just posting this. Everyone knows why.
Text of the fourth amendment “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Said it before, will probably die saying it, we are never going to solve the climate disinfo problem if we don't fix media. As @maxboykoff.bsky.social notes here, the public by and large learns about climate change via the media, so if the media trades in false equivalence, it's damaging!

Thank god no one seems to be injured from this. Did you know there's a @cplusc.bsky.social about this? Never a better time to read it and send it to your city councilors.

But maybe they are all interesting climate studies and it doesn't become sustainability until the climate science is linked w advocacy...

I'll be thinking about what--if any--climate information if not useful for sustainability all weekend now--thanks;)

Interesting. Overlap? Or rectangle & square relationship? All climate work matters ro sustainability but not all sustainability work is about climate. Or is there a different distinction you are thinking of?

Gavin Newsom announces that any California university that caves to Trump and signs his “loyalty pledge” will be immediately defunded.

“CALIFORNIA WILL NOT BANKROLL SCHOOLS THAT SELL OUT THEIR STUDENTS.”

- "Some have chosen to deride the increasingly evident signs of climate change, to ridicule those who speak of global warming, and even to blame the poor"

I knew #Boulder was different the year moved here because town was packed like a major rockstar was coming--and it was Jane Goddall. Her Roots & Shoots work supporting people incarcerated is less known but 💥 Rockstar indeed. RIP
