I ended up foregoing the shading because it may look better without it as is. I haven't decided on a good looking way to add the prompt (+reference) above. I made a temporary watermark-design for myself. I didn't expect to be drawing an entire character XD

I decided to practice one of the most commonly used smooth shading methods today (lasso tool + smooth brush), and honestly.... I think i'm getting the hang of it, slowly. I wonder what i'll be able to do once i get some decent practice in. (i also realized partway that my half-circles suck)

Welp.... today sucked. What a way to start my week off, huh? I tried to have Kanata dress like a zombie for this one, but it didn't work out. So.... i guess i'll just call it a "callback" to my attempts at messy art? 😔

I think i really like elves. Also, first time drawing WITHOUT pen pressure, and it feels.... nostalgic? It doesn't look as pretty as when i used pen pressure, but.... in a good way? You tell me, please! (Calli makes for a good elf!)

I decided to use the extra-time i had today to draw a new OC. Xu is from a stickfigure-world, and it has not been kind to her. She held back her emotions patiently, until she broke and decided to swat the "insects" among humans without mercy. Surprisingly, she's fine with innocents, just unhinged.
