Obviously fuck Trump, fuck ICE, and everything going on. I live in South Texas, one of the places worst affected by these awful policies and personally know people who have been impacted. But I'll just say I disagree with your theory of why it was cancelled.

According to documents that Thurston got, there was originally a planned CMLL event on July 10, at the Arlington E-Sports Stadium, on AEW All In Week.

I was not expecting to see Bas Rutten and Stephen Quadros reunite, playing themselves at the Tokyo Dome in 2000, in a major A24 movie. I really liked the movie, and happy for both these dudes.

Yep exactly that. And IIRC after Luger returned to WCW in 1995, Dave just criticized him and the people who viewed him positively, and then almost begrudgingly was like, I guess Luger is no dummy if he keeps getting these good contracts.

Reminds me more of his mid-90s reporting on Luger, and the way he views positive discourse around a guy vs how valuable Dave thinks the guy can be to the promotion. It was a more heated rant than usual, and definitely weirder, but same idea of "people think this guy is a potential star?!?"

It's so similar to a lot of discourse in wrestling sadly. Like you or other DVDVR/PWO folks can have legit criticisms of the WON and discuss bad Meltzer habits, but weirdos online always go start dumb "how come Angle doesn't have five stars" discourse or accuse him of silly stuff.
